We provide routes that are compatible with a variety of mobile devices, including iOS and Android, using Google Maps.
Across the province, 56 centres and 39 travel points are available to serve you. You can easily find your nearest location using the DriveTest Centre finder on the official DriveTest website.
Practice all road rules and improve the following skills: • Signal correctly and enter/exit turns in the proper lane. • Drive through intersections at the appropriate speed. • React safely to pedestrians and other vehicles. • Maintain proper speed and space. • Become familiar with all common road signs.
Your original G1 licence package usually includes your first Class G2 road test attempt. If you need to pay separately, the fee is $53.75.
The Class G road test fee is $91.25.
During the G2 road test you will be expected to demonstrate: • Proper following distance • Parallel parking • Correct lane changes • Frequent blind spot checks • Defensive driving techniques • Safe intersection navigation • Three-point turns
The full G road test includes expressway driving. You will be asked how many times you have driven on a 400-series highway or an 80 km/h highway within the last three months. It is recommended that you have completed at least five such trips.
Most Ontario road tests take approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
Arrive at least 30 minutes before your appointment. Practice your driving the day before, get a good night's sleep, stay relaxed, and think positively before your test.

No. You must provide your own vehicle for the road test. You may borrow one from family or friends, rent one, or arrange a third-party rental service. For rental assistance, call 416-648-0210.
